Technical Project Manager (McLean, VA Office)

TheIncLab is an engineering and design company that rapidly creates prototypes using emerging technologies. We combine our knowledge of recent technology advancements in fields such as display systems, electronics, artificial intelligence, and robotics with our expertise in software development, engineering, and design to produce bespoke prototypes for our clients. These projects range from software applications to physical systems and can be a combination of both.

We are looking for a resourceful technical project manager to join our team. You will collaborate with our team, vendors, and clients to manage and deliver these complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and senior management to determine project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Works with production teams to create feasible project roadmaps with milestones
  • Manages production teams and vendors to ensure that project progress aligns with roadmap
  • Anticipates upcoming issues and devises contingency plans
  • Creates documentation to communicate project progress to clients and senior management
  • Facilitates communication between productions teams, vendors, clients, and senior management through meetings, emails, or other appropriate means
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or features and propagates information to necessary parties
  • Keep track of resource allocation and workload to determine how to assign resources to new projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields or related studies:
  • Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience working as a project manager on engineering or software projects
  • Agile / Scrum Master certification a plus
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving abilities, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel for up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Due to the nature of the projects, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

This position is a full-time position based in our McLean, VA office. No relocation assistance is offered.
